Snow day

Hello. Well we got some snow last night and it wasnt nearly as much as I was hoping for or expecting. But it sure was fun to play in! My kids and I built a snow fort using bowls from my kitchen cupboard. And after about an hour of bending over to fill the bowl 100 times. The snow fort was finished! About an hour and a half after it was finished....it collapsed! BUMMER! So we came in to have lunch. After lunch it was "recess" again so out we go....the kids wanted to build a snowman, ok. I went into the house to collect the things we would use for his eyes, mouth and nose...by the time I got back out, the kids had snowballs so big that I could barely roll them and they wanted me to stack them up to make a HUGE snowman! So I did and now I am in desperate need of a long hot soak in the tub :) It was such a great day, and so fun. I think this is the first snowstorm we have gotten this year that was awesome for making snowmen. Thought for the day: Acting like a child sometimes can be extremely fun and rewarding...especially to know we will all sleep like babies tonight.

Surprised once again

Hi. So when I closed my post last night I said that my thought for the day was that a 5 year old will shock you when you least expect it....well 3 year olds will do the same. My daughter fell asleep with wonder pets fruit snacks in her hands and those babies melted like an ice cube at 80 degrees! I thought she had totally ruined my couch! It was what I thought it was going to be like getting the needle out of the haystack. Well as it turns out..if I could do a p/r on Fantastic Oxy, which you can use on floors, upholstery, tubs and tile. I would give this product 6 thumbs up! I soaked the melted in fruit snacks on my couch for a bout 5 minutes and then grabbed a bottle brush and scrubbed my couch for about 1 minute the fruit snacks and stickiness were gone and some filth that I didn't even know was there!?!?!? My closing for the night: Fantastic Oxy BABY :)

Monday...Monday

Well, it's Monday. The beginning of a new week. WOW! What a day! My son just got back from his dads and the things a 5 year old can say! On our way out the door to go to school this morning my son told my daughter he ate a slim jim and she wanted to see it he says "Its in my belly and I cant open my belly like MOM opens her mouth!" Whew blew my mind! On a good note though we are due for a big snowstorm here in a couple of days and another over the weekend, so that excites me. I dont really have too much to say today. So off to make dinner and hopefully the week will pick up...in a good way. Thought for the day: 5 years olds will always give you a shock when you least expect it.

Weekend Overview

So friday my dh and I were going to go to dinner and a movie for my valentine gift, mil was going to watch dd. well dd decided at 4 yrs old that she only wanted to be home with my hubby and I unless if her brother was home. Needless to say we didnt go out. Instead my hubby rented SawV and got us chinese for dinner. Saturday (2/14) I came home after a long day of work to a dozen roses, a dozen lillies and a cute lil heart stuffed animal w/legs & arms. That really turned my long day around :) So my lesson for the weekend: if opportunity knocks....answer the door.

TGIF

Its friday. my week has come to an end. I am not sure if its good or bad...no extra kids for a few days but that means I have to go to work tomorrow. My kids have been terrors, the cats have been fighting and I am exhausted. One thing as a parent that I know for a fact is patience is a virtue. Happy friday 13th and Tomorrow wont be able to update (or at least dont think I can) So happy Valentines Day also.

TGIT

Well today is thursday and I am very glad the day is ending. I have listened to a screaming baby, unless if he was asleep, my whining son when the baby wasnt, and my drama queen! My days can be really hectic but I definately enjoy being able to stay home and take care of my kids. And I look forward to my one day aweek that I do work out of the house, it makes me appreciate a thankless little money paying job. Off to start dinner. My thought for the day: Appreciate the smaller things in life :)

New to Blogging

Hi. This is my first time doing this. My name is Darcey. I am 27. I am a sahm of 2. I have married my prince. I feel that I am a very likeable, yet opinionated person. And for the most part easy to get along with. I have decided to blog for a couple of different reasons, my biggest being that I will use this kind of like a journel and to track "The Days of My Life." the other big reason is that I have a girlfriend on here who talks about all of these awesome blogger moms and friends she has made, she does product reviews and I am definately interested in that because as I mentioned before I am/can be very opinionated. So this is my first post I am signing off for now. I will get you more tuned in very soon.
